Overview
Sonic Latitude is a radio streaming app. We collect the minimum data necessary to provide a functional, personalised experience. No account creation is required.
Authentication
Sonic Latitude uses Firebase Anonymous Authentication to assign each installation a unique, anonymous identifier. This identifier is never linked to your name, email address, or any other personally identifying information, and is not shared with third parties.

Radio streams
Sonic Latitude plays audio streams sourced from the Radio Browser public directory (radio-browser.info). Stream URLs are fetched over HTTPS. Individual station streams may use unencrypted HTTP connections — this is standard for radio broadcasting infrastructure and outside our control.
Third-party services
- Firebase (Google) — authentication, cloud storage, and analytics. Governed by Google’s Privacy Policy.
- Radio Browser — open-source radio station directory. No personal data is sent to Radio Browser; queries contain only search terms (station name, country, genre).
Data retention
Your anonymous user ID and favourite stations are retained until you uninstall the app. You can clear all stored data by clearing the app’s storage in your device settings, which generates a new anonymous identity on next launch.
Children
Sonic Latitude does not knowingly collect data from children under 13. The app contains no user-generated content, no social features, and no advertising.
Changes to this policy
We will update this page if our data practices change. Continued use of the app after changes constitutes acceptance.
